I have been putting off Timothy's first haircut because of the fact that new situations, people, and outings have thrown our little guy off. He has the most beautiful soft curls and as long as I use good hair products I have been able to keep it looking nice. But lately it has become so high maintenance that I'm finding I spend more time fixing his hair than I do my own! So, I decided it was a good time to see Diane. Diane has been cutting my hair since I was a little girl and she has given all of my other kids their first haircut. She was also eager to finally meet our newest addition as she has kept up with our journey through my mom, who sees her more often. I knew she would set Timothy's heart at ease so I made the appointment. I was glad to have Oma come along as Timothy woke up this morning with a nasty cold and wasn't feeling so great. By the time we arrived at the salon, Timothy was very eager to check out the place, so while his sisters got their hair cut we tootled around talking with all the ladies{who though he was the cutest thing ever}. It was finally Timothy's turn and Diane got out her secret weapon... lollipops! That was all he needed to hop up in the chair. No whining....no crying...nothing! So, Diane got to work-fast! The curls started falling and Timothy just kept on licking! In fact by the end of his cut I think we was licking 4 lolly's at the same time. Whatever it took to get the job done...Oma just kept handing them to him to keep him happy! The only time he got a little antsy was when she used the clippers to clean him up around the neck and ears. He was a such a champ and he looks so much older now. I collected some of his baby curls to add to his Timothy box. It's always a special occasion when we experience a "first" with this little guy.
Is this a little ham bone or what?!
A big sticky smile + A great new haircut = One handsome boy!
